Kansas Day Celebration

at the Museum

January 29, 2015


Burlingame Schuyler Museum and the Burlingame Historical Preservation Society will celebrate Kansas’154th birthday on Kansas Day, Thursday, Jan. 29, with presentations portraying how things were done in the past. The activities will be ongoing 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Schuyler Community Center and the Schuyler Museum.

Presentations will include rope making with Brian Droege, quilts with Delores Rieck, corn shelling with Gary Buek, bones and Native American artifacts with Tony Bell, and historical military memorabilia with Jim Nelson.

The public is invited to attend. Admission is free but donations will be accepted. The Burlingame Schuyler Museum is located at 117 S. Dacotah St., Burlingame, and the Schuyler Community Center is adjacent to the west of the museum.
